The Interprofessional Association of the Spanish Iberian Pork (ASICI), Inter-professional Agri-Food Organization (OIA) brings together more than 95% of the organizations of the production branch (breeders) and more than 95% of the processing branch (industrial) of the Iberian pork, has set up Ítaca, a traceability and quality identification system and the Ibérico application intended for consumers to inform them about the traceability and quality of its products. Ítaca is an innovative digital system that brings together all the traceability information for Iberian products. The sector has also launched the Ibérico application which allows consumers to be transparently informed of the traceability of productions and to check that they comply with the standard in force, by reading a unique barcode. and individual of each seal. Intuitive and interactive, the application has had over 26,000 downloads and users have taken over 310,000 seal reads.
